Thank you. I will definitely try switching out the flow meter. I’ve been frustrated trying to find the leak. I even used snoop to find the leak and nothing… the flowmeter is the only solution left. I think you’re right.

two blocks of wood and some 1/2 inch all thread with a few nuts and washers would have been better and quicker

Hi Jimbo! What welding machine are you using there. Am used to the low cost arc welding machines but they are not smart especially for me an amateur who's just learning welding now DIY.

You might consider wearing both gloves or you will be getting skin cancer and many trips to get burned off at the Doctor.

The gate looks beautiful….and for me the only way to go is tongue and grove…wood that is butted against each other in time it shrinks and you can see through, not only that but the different pieces of wood shrink at different rates which makes the whole gate look so bad…

Давно я ваши видосы не смотрел. Работа конешно четкая - все детали выверены, многажды измерены - приятно смотреть. но как скамья - очень не функциональна. Зимой ледянная, летом обжечься можно. ну или ставить в таком месте, где погодные условия не сильно влияют.

Start small amd build it every year

Its not as hard as you think just get out and do it he makes a lot of money on these type of jobs

Maybe a reciprocating saw with a metal blade rather than that 6" disc on your angle grinder? That's what I use in those situations. Love the end product though, bet the client was impressed

Two things here, Jim. 1. As long as you bevel your edges, your welds after grinding are essentially full thickness of the material & plenty strong. ZERO concern there, so the neigh sayers can be quiet. 2. Great technique there where you extended the vert. You say sloppy/crooked, but "Sloppy" would have been cutting it shy and having to fill-in with weld metal. In reality you cut it proud and ground back to a perfect fit-up. Nice job there! Great, creative problem-solving project as always. Thank you for all you do to teach & share with all of us!

Welding all around is the best. You often see nice gates, that rust over after 6 months. You can't keep rain out of a crappy welded gate... In my area, they use galvanized a lot and it's sad that they start rusting on the welds after a year... The spray can cold galv is just not cutting it..

Nice neat work 👍🏼I was always taught to run the roof rails the sheets screw to the opposite way to the sheets 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also good is use a chain fixed at top and bottom of the frame, put the jack between the chain and lockbox. -very good in the field to

Jimbo, one tip for the unguarded, chop of existing stuff. You can use a full-face lightweight plastic mask for that. I've done it and have blown up some discs myself. It's scary, but the face mask does the trick when I do this type of stuff. I just adjust the size way out to fit over my ear muffs, so I can switch between goggles and the mask. As always, great video and project.

I'm with you on 'calculated risk' - a 6" wheel on a 4.5" grinder for difficult to access cuts. A little care and there is minimal risk. BUT - when you know it might grab your wheel and shred it, please wear a face shield. I don't wear a face shield much in the garage (no OSHA there), but I do for the sketchier cuts. Rail and awning look great as usual.

Cool project. I know your left handed, and I see people do it all the time it the way your operating that saw at about 6:10 and 6:15 its just awkward and a hard habit to get out of. Next time you should try switching hands. You don't have to use your natural hand on the handle.

you've damaged the underside of your machine just because you're lazy. Today, after 3 years, you have a lot of rust down on your "new" machine. Congratulations Mr Jimbo.
